Locator service trial collaboration by Alzheimer’s Disease Association and StarHub

My brother got the email from Alzheimer’s Disease Association that they are inviting 70 caregivers to trial the Locator service powered by StarHub. Interested caregivers will be shortlisted and on a first come first served basis. 

Registration is quite hassle free, all you need is to fill up an online form. Terms and Conditions applies for the trial, so make sure you read it. As part of the trial, trialists will need to complete 4 online surveys throughout the trial period as well.

We are so surprised and excited about the initiative. Hope we get to trial the service and write a review after that.

Gas cooking hob: Another possible fire hazard?

One problem solved another problem arises. Did we over worry about Mum using the stove since she doesn’t cook at all? We can’t tell and we need to eliminate the possibility for safety reasons. Next project: Change the gas hob to induction hob. User Requirements There are many induction hobs in the market so we are spoiled with choices. One challenge that we had was to find the right size hob which can fit the existing opening at the cooking area.  Another challenge is Dad wants to reuse his old pots and pans, some of which are stainless steel. Not all stainless steel cook-wares work on induction hob, the base of the pots and pans need to be of magnetic-based material. Induction hob uses magnetic field to heat up pots and pans.  Ceramic hob is also another choice. Basically, it conducts heat slower than induction, but most stainless steel cook-wares can work. Time passes so fast and we just renewed the subscription for a second year. Let’s take a look on what are included in the box. What's in there?
